Schnauzer    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Gavin is a 10 year old pup with energy that'll bring some life to anyone's home. We saved Gavin after his owner passed, a family member of ours. Heart worm negative, no fleas or ticks. Took Gavin to the vet on April 9 to get a check up and was completely healthy, with no chronic diseases. Had a strain of endocrine disease, hence the hair loss, however, has been on antibiotics and has already shown improved skin condition and hair growth. This medication was for 10 Days and should not experience illness again with appropriate and standard care. He eats like a champ and is house trained. Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Robin is an awesome dog. He is sweet, loves to cuddle and loves to eat. Recently, I had to go to work full time and I feel terrible about leaving him in the cage all day. He has gained weight because I haven't been able to exercise him much. He gets a haircut every 6 weeks to keep him nice and clean. Robin is a rescue that I have had for about three years. I really would like him to go to a good home, he definitely deserves that. He is good with other dogs but can get a little food aggressive with them, not people ever. Ive never seen him with cats. He has always been this way for some reason, probably from before I adopted him. He listens ... (Read More)well though. (Less)

I'm one of the cutest and happiest little guys around. Why? Because I was saved by a wonderful lady that made me a K-9 ... (Read More)Angel! I was living in a hoarder situation with LOTS of other dogs and my five siblings. We all lived in ONE crate! It was very cramped and dirty! My foster Mom has shown me how to play in the grass and how to live like a clean puppy. I have a crate to sleep in, a play area both inside and outside, and an area to go potty both inside and outside! It's more room than I ever dreamed possible. I'm very little so I play hard and sleep hard! I love to sleep snuggled on your legs or chest. I want to be close to you, but I sleep quietly in my crate at night. I get along with my foster dog siblings and elementary kids. Also have you seen my handsome hair? It's like I got a specialty highlight job at the best salon in town! I'm told when you look in my eyes you see nothing but love. I'm hoping to break a record on approved adoption applications! Come meet me and play, maybe you can be my FURever home. Animal ID: DHBatman (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Well hello there! My name is Batman, and I'm a sweet, eager-to-please, and adorable 12-pound mini-Schnauzer/ terrier mix who's black with splashes of white and who was born about March 2016. You'll love my gray 'Mohawk' on the tip-top of my head! I love to let said Mohawk 'fly in the wind' when I'm riding in the car. I'm super intelligent and easily trainable, if I do say so myself. What it boils down to is that I will do anything for treats. I've learned how to heel, sit, and stay in place, and there's a vast potential for me to learn lots more if someone wants to work with me. Hey, it's a bonding experience! My buddy Robbyn and I were ... (Read More)found one morning in the front pen of a dog grooming salon where the proprietor has a reputation for being softhearted about stray dogs and being instrumental in helping many dogs over the years to find good homes. I can't imagine my owner's abandoning a fantastic little guy like me unless there were some good reason -- financial setbacks, divorce, moving out of the country perhaps? So maybe a Good Samaritan found us as strays and knew where to take us. I honestly can't tell you for sure. I love it here where there's plenty of groceries and brimming water bowls, other dogs to play with, and nice humans to love on me. But I realize that a home of my very own would be best. I haven't been tested yet around kids or cats because - for Pete's sake -- I'm at a dog grooming salon! But you'll never know unless you try me out! I'm anxious to give puppy kisses to anyone whose heart skips a beat at the sight of a scruffy terrier! Come by to meet me today! I promise you will fall in love with my little sweet self. Batman is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $150, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Batman, and we can arrange for you to meet him. To adopt one of our dogs, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, download the adoption application at http://www.bustersfriends.org/dogadoptionapplication.shtml. Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

PIXEL is a cute little male schnauzer! He is a young guy with lots of energy and wants to play. He is very puppy'ish in his actions and silly ways - always wants to play or chew on fingers. Our vet estimates him to be about two years old. He is very playful and silly. He LOVES to play with other dogs, we hope to place him in a home with another dog to play with. He would not do well with cats. Because of his constant playfulness he would not do well with small children, older kids he would do great. Pixel would not do well in an apartment, he needs a yard to run and play. Pixel is white and has a docked tail. He weighs about 10 pounds and ... Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Nola is a spayed four year old schnauzer mix. She was rescued a year ago from a shelter in Louisiana. We know nothing about her background. Her foster mom believes she was mistreated because she was frightened of people when we first rescued her. She could only pet her about three times on the head before she would try and bite. She wouldn't allow her to bet her anywhere else. After many months of showing Nola what love is she will now jump in her foster mom's lap and want to be petted and held. She will also allow our groomer to give her a makeover. She will now let strangers pet her and asks for more love when they stop. Nola has come ... (Read More)a long way in learning to trust but she still can get mad if her foster mom tries to make her do something she doesn't want to do, for example, get out of bed when she isn't ready or take a toy or bone from her. She will bite. Her new mom or dad will have to understand that she can't be forced to do things unless she wants to. They will need to learn her 'look' when she doesn't want to be bothered. She does responds well when bribed with treats. ?? Nola would not be good with any age child! She loves other animals but won't interact/play with them. She is crate and potty trained. (Less)

Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids.
