Schnauzer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats
Health: Spayed

Meet Chloe!! Chloe came to us a matted mess that we were calling Molly. Once in her foster home with a dog named Zoe, she would come running anytime Zoe was called. It would be too hard to have two named Zoe so we are calling her Chloe and she responds every time! Chloe is a young white Schnauzer with a natural tail and ears. She doesn't get along well with other females but does great with male dogs. Chloe will be spayed, tested for heartworms, and brought current on ... (Read More)vaccines on Friday May 19th. Rescue Me ID: 17-05-15-00104Snoodle (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, I'm Snoodle!! I had a little bit of a rough time after my previous family moved away and left me behind. My fur was so horribly matted that I had to be put under anesthesia so they could shave off all my fur. I look and feel so much better now but I know I will look even better once my hair grows back! My foster home is g reat and I am learning what it's like to be part of a loving family. There are lots of other animals in my home now, dogs and cats, and I love them all. It has taken me some time to get adjusted to this new way of life but I am thriving and learning that life can be great! Honestly, I am not a big fan of my crate, I ... (Read More)will go in there if you insist but it's not my favorite. My foster parents let me roam around the house when they are not home and I never destroy anything or make a mess. I had an accident or two when I first got here but I have learned to use the doggie door and stopped having accidents inside! I LOVE to cuddle with my foster parents, chase tennis balls and run around the backyard with my foster sister. Since my foster sister is small like me, I feel comfortable with her. I am still in the process of getting comfortable enough with my two giant foster brothers to play with them but I am almost there. Please come meet me, it won't take you long to see that I just want to love and be loved! Snoodle is a male poodle/schnauzer mix that we estimate to be born around February 16, 2016. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/k9_angels_rescue_application_to_adopt.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.     'ۢ We have LOTS of precious fur babies available for adoption, please come meet them at the Addison PetSmart - 3800 Belt Line, Addison, TX 75001 - every Saturday and Sunday from 1-6. Our adoption fees include a grooming with nail trim - all vaccines - deworming - a complete health check - a HW test if old enough - microchip - rabies - spay/neuter - and a PetSmart adoption starter kit that includes $5 off a six-month supply of HW preventative - a free %BD-hour private training session with a PetSmart accredited pet trainer - a free bag of food - a free doggie day camp session - a free overnight stay in a PetSmart PetsHotel - a free vet ... (Read More)exam at Banfield - grooming coupons - over $400 of coupons/savings - and MUCH MORE! We have a two-step adoption process. First, you submit an application, which is presented to our Board for approval or rejection. If approved, a home check is done, and if that passes - you adopt which includes a 1-week trial period, if - for any reason during that first week, the adoption is not working out, you can return the dog for a full refund of your adoption fee. ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))PS - WE NEED FOSTER HOMES FOR ANIMALS! Fosters are the backbone of animal rescue. In most EVERY shelter - in most EVERY county - in most EVERY city - animals r being euthanized (KILLED) daily due to overcrowding - dog - cat - large - small - male - female - puppy - kitten - old - young. We cannot save them without foster homes. APPROXIMATELY ONE OUT OF THREE ANIMALS THAT ENTER A SHELTER IS EUTHANIZED. These healthy sweet pets would have made great companions. Don't know what fostering is? Briefly - it is babysitting an animal until it is adopted. FOSTERING IS FREE TO DO! Most rescues cover all expenses for fosters, and anything they do not cover is tax-deductible. If u cannot foster - please ask your friends and family to. If u want more information - Google 'animal fostering.' I'm begging - it's only temporary but lives can't be saved unless people step up - PLEASE - shelters are overflowing - when you foster one animal - you save two lives - the one you foster and the one that gets his/her space in the shelter. If you can/will foster - let me know, I thank you - and the animals thank you! PS - Have you ever dreamed of helping a rescue but don't have the time, space, or just plain don't know what to do? At your pet limit? Allergic? Can't have pets where you live? Well - how about becoming a VIRTUAL FOSTER... You can choose a minimum amount of $10 a month to 'virtually' foster a homeless animal of your choice (of course, a larger sum would be happily accepted and appreciated). What does Virtual Foster mean? Our foster fur babies typically have many veterinary bills, as this is the nature of being rescued. There are also other expenses related to the ongoing care and rehab of fosters. As a Virtual Foster, your donation will go towards the vetting - medical care, and general care of the animal you have chosen. Your donation will go a LONG way in ensuring a foster dog receives the needed care and attention! In return for your kind donation, you will receive a periodic update on the progress of your foster. Once your foster is adopted, you will be notified so that you can choose another animal to virtually foster. If you genuinely cannot adopt or foster, there are still other ways to help. Sponsor an adoption or medical treatment. Volunteer your time - drive for transports, rescue groups always need dogs transported from one place to the next. Donate money, our rescue is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit, all donations are tax deductible. Educate - spread the word about the need for fosters. Sign up for notifications from your local rescue group or shelter, and share the animals in need on social media, there are so many ways to help - thank you, please share this post (Less)

He is housetrained and does not need or want to be crated at all. He quickly learned 'sit', and he loves to play with toys and chew on nylabones. Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hashtag - No ID - Hashtag - Wire-hair Schnauzer mix - 1 to 2 years old -30 lbs - Hashtag is a little down on his luck. His owner went MIA, and he finds himself looking for new home. He is very good with people and gets along well with other dogs. He walks well on a leash, and is a friendly boy who only needs a chance. We think he is between one and two years old, and is potty trained. He enjoys playing with other dogs, but is not a hyper dog. At around 30 pounds, he is a perfect size, and with his unique looks, would make for great debates among friends guessing his breed. We have decided with his short little legs, long body, and ...     Meet Zeke! He is a great little guy! We were not sure of his mix so we had a DNA test done on him! DNA results indicate that his mother is a Schnauzer/Chihuahua mix and his father is a Dachshund/Pekingese mix. He is very long with short legs. Zeke is a very calm guy, doesn't get in any hurry about getting anywhere. He likes to chill out, hang close to people, and enjoys sitting outside. Zeke was picked up by animal control along the highway. He had been hit by a car, tumbled by a car, or possibly thrown from a car. We got him to a vet as soon as possible and there were no broken bones - only bumps bruises and he was very sore. He has been ... (Read More)x-rayed to check for injuries and he doesn't have any! Rescue Me ID: 17-01-13-00097Robbie (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi everyone! I'm Robbie! I am close to two years old and so much fun! I know I may bark when you come up, but don't let that fool you; I am just a super friendly rambunctious puppy! I love to play with toys, chase balls, and play with my foster sisters! My smaller foster sister use to be scared of me, but I won her over with my ch arm and great looks! We're friends now! Besides my two foster sisters, there's something called a 'kitty' that I got to meet. She stays in the back of the house where us dogs aren't allowed to go, but they let me go back there to meet her. I just walked up to her, sniffed and walked away. So maybe I wouldn't be too ... (Read More)bad around those, as long as they didn't try to run away from me. I'd love to have a family with other dogs to play with for sure though! I love to play with anyone or thing, but I also like to cuddle up beside you or at your feet and nap. But I do not like the bottom of my feet rubbed. My foster parents say I am a very sweet, attentive little man! I also got a bath this week and took it like a champ. I didn't try to jump out of the bathtub or anything. I sleep in my crate at night without any complaints, but in the morning I'm ready to play! My foster parents think my fuzzy hair makes me look like Einstein! Not only do I look like him, I'm smart like him too! I am potty trained and know to go to the door when I need out. I'm even learning the words 'outside' and 'potty' so you can ask me. I know 'sit' and 'dance' (that's why they call me Tiny Dancer) and am learning 'stay' and 'leave it.' I also know 'Get the ball' (when I want to) and 'Shh,' since I really like to talk a lot. I am super treat-motivated. You can probably teach me a lot of fun tricks with a little effort and a lot of treats! I just need someone who likes an active playful dog and is willing to work with me. I will love you forever! Please choose me to be your dog; I have so much love to give and can't wait to shower you with kisses! PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Texas
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
