Rescue Me ID: 16-09-22-00157Chadwick (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi there good people! I just have to tell you about myself. I'm living the life of Riley with my foster parents and their 4 kitties after my foster mom snatched me up from a very noisy and scary place she called 'the shelter'. She said I was too good to be anything but a k-9 Angel pup. Ive heard that some call me Chad but my foster parents call me Obi (or Obidiah). Foster mom said Chad was just to plain for an awesome pup like me. I'm not picky though. I'll come to pretty much anything....a whistle, here boy, puppy or even skalliwag. 'That one was after foster mom took her shoe away from me'. I don't chew on her shoes anymore because I have ... (Read More)a whole box of toys to play with. There's those kitties too but only the black one will even pretend to play. Foster mom says to make sure you know I'm house trained because that's super important on my resume. I'm a calm sweet pup except for those times when I just need to be silly. Foster mom says I'll never make it to China no matter how hard I dig into my big pillow. I sleep in my kennel in the bedroom and when needed during the day without much of a fuss. I love everyone here but I think its time I have a home with some kiddos or another pup like me to play with. I guarantee to make you smile. Just come on down and play with me. Maybe you can be my new family and I can be your loyal friend for life. We'll have a blast! Chadwick is a Male Terrier / Schnauzer Mix that we estimate to be around 4 months old. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. Thank you! Schnauzer    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Chadwick and I'm a 4-year-old Schnauzer that weighs about 25 lbs. I'm a very sweet boy and I LOVE to cuddle and play with EVERYONE! I want to be with you everywhere and I will definitely be your shadow. Watch out if you sit on the floor because I will bombard you with kisses! I sleep very well in a crate and I'm completely housebroken. I'm good with most dogs after we're properly introduced, but I'm a little confused about cats (I'm sure with a little training, I could learn to love them though). Like most Schnauzers, I make an excellent watchdog and alert my family to any intruders, but I quiet down IMMEDIATELY after you tell ... (Read More)me that everything is ok. I'm currently the referee in my foster house, barking and nipping when I think things are getting too crazy, so I'd probably be happiest in a house without children. (Less)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Caleb is a 1 year old Schnauzer mix that was found left in a park with no fur whatsoever. In fact we had no idea what breed he was. He has fully recovered and is doing great in his foster home. He has a strong, independent personality that goes with the Schnauzer breed. His foster has worked hard to socialize him and work on his basic manners. He does well with most dogs but gets insecure at times. He would do great as an only dog or one he approves of. He does really well with people but would not recommend he go to a home with small children. He would be a great city dog that would do well in an apartment or small area.

Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Horton has had a blast at our house. He loves to play. He's good with dogs of all sizes. Being one of 4 puppies here, play time is monitored so no one gets too rough or rowdy. Everyone listens well and calms down if momma says to. Horton also enjoys his naps. His foster mom puts him in a crate for nap time. She says growing kids need a nap every day. (And Momma's need a break, too). Horton is 4 months old. He weighs 19 lbs. he's probably close to full grown. He'll make someone a very nice pet. He's not overly barky or needy. He's an easy pup.     Cruz is a little over 5 years old, and a little over 20 pounds. He's an energetic, playful, obedient, fun loving companion. He is fully housetrained. He loves, and needs a bit of exercise. He has had seizure problems, and is possibly epileptic. He is on a generic brand of Keppra to control them, and is doing well on this medication. We have only seen 3 seizures in the 10 months he has been on it. He takes a partial pill with his morning and evening meals. He is trained to sit, stay and come, and will do so even with minor distractions. He is starting to fetch, but is somewhat possessive with toys so he needs some work in that area. He is ... (Read More)intimidated by larger dogs, but he is fine with smaller dogs, and does enjoy playing with them. We are not sure how he is with cats, but wouldn't expect any problems. He is a bit nervous and will do best in a generally quiet environment. If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please fill out our Pre-Adoption Application. The link to this form can be requested via email at info@dfwpuppatrol.com. All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $225, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention.     I am still a very young puppy but I can hold my own with the big dogs. I had two sisters that were all furry but my foster mom says they found very good forever home. She says that is what I need. I love to cuddle and play. When I am up and playing I play hard but then in a second I am down for a nap. My favorite place to play is in my mom's closet but she says I'm not allowed there. I am still working on house training. It has been so cold and wet, who can blame a puppy for not wanting to go outside. If you need a really cute, sweet and cuddly forever friend, then I'm your man. Birthdate: November 18 2014

Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
