BB is a 20 pound, female, Schauzer/Poodle blend, about 5 years of age. She was on the streets being chased by a large male dog, when a good Samaritan stopped and picked her up. She knew right away she had found a real gem. She was very well mannered, non-aggressive and very happy to be in a home. She is house broken, likes other dogs, and knows basic commands. She loves walking on a leash and is ready to go for a walk anytime. She enjoys children, but not sure of cats. An extensive search for her owners has been made and none have been found. She would make a wonderful dog for any family. She has been spayed, heartworm tested ... (Read More)(neg), microchipped, tested and treated for intestinal parasites, started on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and has been examined by a vet. Animal ID: fosterFergus (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Senior

Personality: Very Low Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Blind,
 Deaf, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Fergus, formerly known as Choo Choo, appears to be a Schnauzer Terrier Mix with the cutest little ears and a docked tail--He is now about 10 years old, neutered, up-to-date on shots and heartworm negative. In January 2012, Choo Choo, was brought into a local animal shelter after being violently attacked by another dog. He was all torn up and in horrible pain. Trinity GAP Rescue stepped up to transport him to a vet for evaluation and treatment. His survival was touch-n-go but he pulled thru and began a long road to recovery. He underwent several surgeries to remove dead and decaying tissue as his bite ... (Read More)wounds were deep and extensive but he soon regained his feisty behavior and won the hearts of everyone who met him. But sadly a permanent home was hard to come by%BD'%BD|.. He has been in 2 foster homes, the last one, by virtue of not being able to place him, named him Fergus and sort of resigned to letting him stay. It was never the best fit for him but the family worked very hard to help him adjust but Fergus had a lot of strikes against him. Still they all persevered and the family truly fell in love with him. Fergus also sustained a head injury from a car accident and he now has seizures. He has lost most of his sight and hearing. Fergus still dances for treats but mostly lives in a world of his own. He sleeps most of the day, venturing out for bathroom breaks. He is on daily seizure medication which costs about $15/month. He doesn't bark much, doesn't shed much and is a convenient travel size!! He has had some accidents but wears a belly band with pride! Due to his age, and lack of sight and hearing, we don't recommend a home with children. We think he may be overwhelmed in a busy bustling household. He doesn't like to share with other dogs or with cats%BD'%BD|..he pretty much needs a loving human or humans all his own! He would be so happy to do his dancing just for you and for food and a soft bed. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the family to take care of him and feel he needs another home that is not as active and possibly one that doesn't have any other pets. Is there anyone out there with a heart big enough to take in Fergus and provide the help and comfort he needs for the rest of his life? He still has that boyish look about him and craves love and attention. Please contact Mary at goartoar@live.com 8173684584 if you'd like more info on Sweet Fergus. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-27-00401Webster (male)

Schnauzer    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Webster is certainly an adorable miniature schnauze r, but his personality is even cuter than his looks ! This little guy is about twelve pounds, and about eleven of that is heart! He is not fond of the kennel. Wh en his foster first picked him up at the adoption center he leaned into her for a full hug. She found out later that was no accident - Webster is great at giving hugs! H e will look into your eyes trying to speak to you, and occasionally will add little growls, in an attempt to convey his message of happiness or excitement (or 'get me outta here' when it comes to the adoption center ). Webster loves to sit on your lap ... (Read More)while you watch TV and really enjoys a trip in the car. What car etiqu ette this boy has! He prefers to sleep on the floor in his own bed with a little blanket right next to his fos ter's bed. He is a good sleeper, and generally does not wake during the night. Sometimes Webster will dance on the edge of the bed or sofa, asking for a boost up, but Webster can get upset once you lift him, so be quick. For this reason, his foster suggests a home with adults or teenagers, but no young children. Webster loved all sizes of canine friends at his foster's h ouse. He and a Chihuahua loved to play chase. Lounging in the warm sun, with a nice breeze suits him just fi ne as well, and our new spring weather often enticed W ebster to spend much of the afternoon in his foster 's fully fenced yard. Call him inside and he hops like a bunny, but take him for a walk and his foster's s on said he has a show dog strut. In two weeks with his foster, he had just three little accidents - and tw o of those were on the second day, when he was still get ting acclimated to his new environment. He has no food aggression, but he was fed on schedule. Webster is simply wonderful. He is full of personality and will be a wonderful addition to your family. Webster is about 3 years old and is 12 lbs. As we believe proper health care of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership, K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted and altered.     Drama was born to a mom less than 48 hours after she was rescued from a high kill shelter. Drama is a good old fashioned country dog as far as attitude goes. He would love nothing better than to follow you wherever you go. he is a calm mild mannered pup who will readily bond to one or two people for life. He loves to be outside if that's where you are and would love to go hiking through the woods or jogging down a trail. He is equally at home laid up on the couch with you and generally just wants to be where you are but not in a clingy sort of way. He does not have to be in your face, just in your presence. He is a very unique looking guy ... (Read More)with a wirey coat and scruffy face and a purple tongue. He is of medium size and is low maintenance on upkeep of coat with minimal shedding.     J.D. was seen by his rescuer running down the middle lane of a 7 lane road in East Houston. He is approx. 3yrs old and weighs 25lbs. He is crate-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, knows 'sit', and enjoys playing with his foster siblings. J.D. loves dogs of all sizes, and is good with children and cats as well. He is looking for his forever home after spending probably most of his short life on the streets. J.D. is considered a non-shedding dog and is a 'brush -n- go' kinda guy so would never have a need to have him groomed. He may be a great dog for some one with allergies as his minimal shedding may make him somewhat hypo allergenic. ... (Read More)The adoption fee is $150. Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bentley is one fantastic little dog! He was not always so happy, he was brought into the shelter by their owner that was breeding 'hybrids' to sell but things didn't work out that way for them, so Bentley and his Bichon dad were brought to shelter. He was very frightened and stayed huddled next to the wall out of fear. Pawed Squad saw that he needed help and got him out. Bentley was groomed and taken to a foster home where he came out of his shell very fast! He wanted to be held, wanted to play, and wanted to stay close to people! Hanging out with people and barking with joy are his favorite things to do! We are not sure of his exact ... (Read More)breed but we believe he is Dachshund/Bichon. Whatever he is, he is VERY handsome and extremely lovable! He is about 12-18 months old, weighs 18 pounds, and is about 11' tall at shoulders. He is crate trained. He does well going outside to potty but accidents can and do happen with all pets. See more pictures and fill out an application form by visiting our website at: http://www.pawedsquad.com/ Please email us at adopt@pawedsquad.com There is an adoption donation. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids.
