Rescue Me ID: 17-03-20-00021Max (male)

Schnauzer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Abused/Neglected

Max was found on this website! His previous 'owner', stated they were moving into a home that didn't allow dogs. So I adopted max and Lexi under the impression that they were two years old and house trained. Both dogs were under weight, dehydrated and starving. His partner was also pregnant, none of which I knew. So, having 8 dogs all in an apartment not potty trained has been a challenge. I would Love for max to go to a home with a yard and kids. He is an amazing dog that needs some work, but he is sweet and deserves the best.

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-20-00016Lexi (female)

Schnauzer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Abused/Neglected

Lexi has quite a story. I found her here on this website and was told that her family was moving and couldn't have dogs. I was told she was two years old and house trained. Neither of which are true. Upon receiving Lexi and her partner Max (I changed their names) I discovered both were badly malnourished under weight and dehydrated. I also realized Lexi was pregnant. She recently had a litter of 6 puppies on Jan 4th! Upon further investigation I found out that Max and Lexi were used for breeding purposes on a 'breeding farm'. I am very attached to them but I live in an apartment and since they are not house broken, along with the puppies, I ... (Read More)am in over my head. I am looking for a loving home, with patient owners that will welcome and love her! She is precious and tiny! And it breaks my heart that she has been through so much. (Less)

Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
