    Scottie is an 8 year old purebred miniature schnauzer. His original owner could not keep him due to family issues- he is not good with young toddlers. However he is very friendly, gets along with most dogs, and is a sweet lapdog that loves to cuddle and play with tennis balls. We are fostering him until he can find a good home- PLEASE contact soon if interested! We cannot keep him for a long time and if it comes to it we will have to return him to the Webster Animal Shelter. Please contact me! Thank you!

    Weight about 10lbs. Plays and is cute. Having to give away as city cited me for having 3 dogs and you can only have 2. I cannot afford fighting zoning. I will sponsor him with vaccinations and heartworm pills for a year to a good home. She is cuter than picture. Needs groomimg and I will get done soon. Please help me or she will have to go to a shelter.

    Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Mississippi if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.

    The name Schnauzer is derived from the German word for snout; these dogs are named for their distinctive beards. Schnauzers have been used to guard children and have been called Kinder Watchers. Rembrandt owned and painted a Schnauzer. Schnauzers used to travel with German coaches. Schnauzers were used as messenger dogs in World War I.
