Hey there my name is Chance as in 2nd Chance. I am pretty excited to be free, you see, I lived most of my 8 years in a cage breeding puppies. I was a little angry for the first year or so but my foster mom and dad worked VERY hard with me. No matter how difficult I could be they never gave up. Now they say I am perfect. I have learned to love again. Life is beautiful. I am actually very sweet but have a hard exterior. I am grumbly but not mean. When you pick me up or pet me I will growl but that is just me. It is not a mean growl just a Chance growl. With training, trust and medication I have learned my house manners and how to use my inside ... (Read More)voice. Sometimes when I get really stressed I will spin in circles but other than the stressful times that habit doesn't show. I do not like to get totally groomed. I am fine until you get to my legs and stomach so every now and again I need help from the vet to calm me down so that the groomer can clean me up. I am about 10-11-years-old now. I have been waiting for a very long time for my forever family. I am looking for one that will let me snuggle in bed at night and buy me Nylabones to chew. I am on 3 meds but I take them very easily. My foster mom can go into more detail if needed. No biggie though. I hope you give me a chance. If anyone deserves one it is me. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Mississippi
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Mississippi if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
