Rescue Me ID: 14-08-05-00777Tucker (male)

Schnauzer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Tucker is a very smart dog. He prefers and loves women. He is fearful and aggressive around other dogs and small children. He can be aggressive toward cats when we are not looking. He would be a very loving companion with the right owner. By the end of this year we will have 3 new Grandchildren and unfortunately we cannot keep him. We don't want to euthanize him. We do love him and want him to be happy but we absolutely cannot keep him. If you can give him a home where he would be the only pet and there are no small children he would make a very nice pet. He is house broken, grooms well and doesn't bark much.

When you meet them you wouldn't know they were 10. They are a bonded pair and will need to stay together. Mojo is microshipped. PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Michigan
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.

The name Schnauzer is derived from the German word for snout; these dogs are named for their distinctive beards. Schnauzers have been used to guard children and have been called Kinder Watchers. Schnauzers used to travel with German coaches. Schnauzers were used as messenger dogs in World War I.
