Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hunter turned 4 years old on 10/30/2017. She is a Schnauzer/Poodle mix (schnoodle). She has been my best friend since I picked her up when she was 6 months old. Unfortunately, I am considering the possibility of finding a new home for her. Hunter is a very sweet girl, loves to play, and just loves to be loved. I was able to devote all of my emotional resources to Hunter until I was blessed with a child. We have decided it would be best for us to find her a new home. I'd love to find her a home where she can receive the attention she deserves. Preferably, a home with no other pets or children. She has lived most of her life in a one on one ... (Read More)environment. LOVES the following: play fetch, go on walks/runs, and to be your best friend. She is crate trained, however, not completely housebroken. If you have any questions I'd love to answer them for you. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Michigan
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.

The name Schnauzer is derived from the German word for snout; these dogs are named for their distinctive beards. Schnauzers have been used to guard children and have been called Kinder Watchers. Schnauzers used to travel with German coaches. Schnauzers were used as messenger dogs in World War I.
