    Lola is a very smart girl, likes her crate and has been unsupervised in the house with no accidents at all. She lives to fetch and walks great on leash. She is not destructive and very obedient. A home with less traffic would be ideal as she can get very protective. She's not a barker like other schnauzers. She is good with most people.

    Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.

    The name Schnauzer is derived from the German word for snout; these dogs are named for their distinctive beards. Schnauzers have been used to guard children and have been called Kinder Watchers. Rembrandt owned and painted a Schnauzer. Schnauzers were used as messenger dogs in World War I.
