Rescue Me ID: 17-09-20-00220McCloud (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

McCloud has been with us for 5 weeks (as of Sep 2) and he really wants to leave us behind. The uber energetic pup grows cuter every day and does not appear that he is destined to be bigger than lap sized, perhaps with a bit of spillage :-) . McCloud and his 4 littermates were found in a drainpipe and required rescuing to remove them. He came to the shelter on July 25 at 2 mon old. . He has a white somewhat wiry coat with a dollar sized brown spot off center of his back. His adoption fee is $100. Application can be submitted at the shelter or online at our website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ . Adoption ... (Read More)policies can be viewed on the website. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own four legged family members. We do not ship nor transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4.     Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
