Rescue Me ID: 17-03-21-00426Freesia (female)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

ABOUT FREESIA ADOPTION APPLICTAION: http://pregnantdogrescue.org/dog-adoption-application/ Freesia was rescued from a local animal control shelter, where she got as a stray. We don't know her history and her former family, if ever there was any, but she surely deserves a wonderful family of her own, because she's got so much to offer. Freesia is very smart, attentive, playful, loving and well behaved pet. She travels with her foster family, goes on hikes, rides in the car, visits friends and gets compliments anywhere she goes. Everybody loves her manners and finds her very good looking, too! She always comes when called and would ... (Read More)follow you everywhere without a leash. She is great with other dogs. She isn't a barker or a chewer, but would gladly play fetch with you when you feel like it. She is food motivated and would be easy to train with treats, but she is neither greedy nor food aggressive. You'd think she's wire-haired and scruffy, but she is actually very soft to touch! And she has a lot of love in her! She would love her entire family, no favorites. Freesia has tested positive for heartworm, and will need a family with excellent vet references. Even though she was treated and also put on monthly preventive medicine, she will require a follow up to make sure she is completely cured. Right now she doesn't have any symptoms and feels great. She is a cheerful, active and playful dog who thinks she's still a puppy. Please contact pregnant dog rescue if you want to meet Freesia.
