Schnauzer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Joey is a standard schnauzer (not a mini) who is about 7 years old. He is very active and likes walks and playing fetch. He needs a yard to run around in, but he can be indoors. He's totally housebroken. He is a schnauzer, so do not let the picture fool you. He just got groomed, but his beard had to be shaved off due to matted hair. He does not shed and is hypo-allergenic. His new home would be better for him if he is the only dog. He can get a little territorial with his food. Knows several commands: sit, down, shake. He makes a great guard dog.

Schnauzer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Sassy is a small schnauzer/terrier mix, approximately 7-8 years old, and weighs around 8 pounds. She generally gets along with other small dogs and people, but easily becomes skittish around large dogs and strangers. My great-grandfather has had her for five years after he adopted her at aT PetSmart adoption fair, and we suspect that some of her skittishness originates from her time with her original owners. She is a smart, energetic, and loyal dog. Jessica Garcia litknocks.jess@gmail.com Sherri Moore- Menifee Valley Humane Society (951) 757-5664

PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in California
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in California if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
