Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Talulah, Minnehana and Chief are siblings (SCHNOODLES) who we rescued from the indian reservation. They are apx. 11 months old, and super sweet. They are roughly 20-23 lbs. and will not grow any bigger. They came in as strays which is crazy as they are gorgeous dogs. Obviously someone didn't care about them, and let them roam free. They were covered in ticks, and spent a couple weeks in the shelter before we were contacted to take them. On the reservations, dogs have a slim chance of getting adopted, and a large percentage is put down within days of coming in. When we were contacted to come and rescue dogs, we jumped as we knew ... (Read More)their fate was already sealed. Everyone is doing great, gets along with kids, cats and dogs, and will be ready within the next week or so for final adoption. They are super friendly and are going to make awesome family or companion animals. They are spay/neutered, up to date on all shots including rabies, micro chipped, vet checked, and will come with a collar. Rescue Me ID: 17-09-03-00293Jax (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We really are not sure what breed this handsome boy is, (Labeled on paper work that he is terrier mix), and we believe the mix could possibly be Schnauzer. What we do know is that Jax was living with an awesome family who has 4 small children, and 3 dogs. It has been overwhelming for the family, and they felt that Jax was not getting the attention he should have. He is adorable (see photos) and more to come soon. Very alert and loving. He is house trained, loves children, loves people but is unsure at 1st...just give him a few minutes to learn you. He was fine with the pit bull and yorkie in the home too, but not sure about cats as ... (Read More)they didn't have any. Jax is current on all his shots and is also neutered. The only things that Jax needs training on, is taking food from the table. (Thus the reason he is over weight). The children would also feed him food from the table, so he knew how to get extra. We are working on short walks and less food, to get this boy back in shape so he will live a longer life with his new owner. Right now he weighs in at 39lbs and is probably 10-15 lbs over weight. He is Very loyal and a loving boy that just turned 2 years old in April. If you are able to give him a wonderful home, please apply for him on our website at www.azrain.org. His adoption fee is set at $200.00 **IF YOU CAN READ THIS, I AM STILL AVAILABLE. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A CHANCE AT ME, PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BY GOING TO AZRAIN.ORG AND CLICKING ON THE ADOPT TAB, THEN THE DOG INTEREST FORM. THERE IS NO WAY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ME WITHOUT COMPLETING ONE. (Go to our website. www.azrain.org and Click on the ADOPT tab, then DOG INTEREST FORM). IN THE EVENT you do not get the dog that you are applying for, your application will stay on file for 3 months. If you find another pet with RAIN Rescue that you are interested in, (within the 3 month period), just call or email us and tell us the name of the pet and that you have previously filled out a INTEREST form, and which one you are currently interested in. We will pull your application for the specific dog. R.A.I.N RESCUE DOES NOT BRING ANY OF THEIR DOGS OR PUPPIES TO ANY EVENTS. IF YOU ARE CHOSEN TO SEE ME, YOU WILL GET A CALL. SOMETIMES IT TAKES A BIT TO FIND OUR FOREVER HOMES AS WE HAVE TO BE SPAY or NEUTERED 1ST, CURRENT ON SHOTS AND MICRO-CHIPPED'|.AND THE DOG DIRECTOR IS VERY PICKY! ITS ALL ABOUT 'US'! Please don't call to ask if this dog/puppy is still available. We remove them with in 24 hours of adoption, besides, you know you will find another one and your application will be good for 90 days for any of our dogs/puppies at R.A.I.N. Rescue! We do not bring our small dogs to adoption events, because: #1) they are normally scared to death and very nervous, not knowing what's going on with the many people coming up to the pens and hovering over them. Many shiver and shake with the unknown. #2) People adopt on impulse when they see a particularly 'cute' dog/puppy. When they are adopted on impulse, reality sets in with in the 1st month of adopting it'|Oh, this puppy ate the leg off my chair, I can't have that!.., or '|You said this dog was house trained and it pees all over'| and then in many cases they are returned to rescue. #3) When people have to fill out a form 1st, and read all the questions about the care of a dog/puppy, they see that there are many aspects to adopting a family member, that they may not of thought of. They also realize that it is a life time commitment. The application Is done prior to adopting, so the family understands the seriousness and responsibilities of ownership. We have applications available at 2840 W Chandler Blvd. (At Petsmart, in the Lowes shopping center). It is located at the 101 and chandler blvd. OR, you can go to our website and get one, then email back to us at info@azrain.org OR, hand deliver it to us on Saturdays at our Donation Table we have set up, right of the front door of Petsmart. ~~~~~~~~~~ We are a 501c3 non profit Rescue. R.A.I.N. Rescue (Rescuing Animals in Need). ** ALL OF OUR PETS ARE: micro-chipped, up to date on immunization shots, spayed/neutered and are current on Rabies shot if they are old enough to have one. ** Just a reminder: we are all volunteers'|we all have jobs outside from our volunteer job at the Rescue. We are sorry that we will not make a special time and place to meet you without a consultation application done up. We are able to weed through many applications with out taking too much time. Meeting up prior to an application being done has been found to be unproductive, taking much time for all the volunteers involved, and YOUR time too! Rescue Me ID: 17-09-03-00189Munich (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

We are always willing to help another rescue when they ask for it, and that is how Munich comes to us. He is about 7-8 weeks old, and weighs 4 pounds and probably will be a small dog as an adult. He is a playful pup, and really likes to be around his people. Munich is a scruffy boy with lots of love to share. He loves belly rubs, running with people and playing with toys. This little boy does not sit still for long, just to many wonderful things to discover in the world. If you would like to give him the forever home he is looking for let us know! As part of your adoption contract, you will be required to transport the puppy to complete ... (Read More)his/her shots, as well as for their spay/neuter at a later date. While puppies are adorable and cute, they are a lot of work. They take time, dedication, and above all, commitment. They will require training (we give you 4 training sessions with us). The rescue strives to give you a puppy that has a good foundation for you to build upon. We are a FORCE FREE rescue. The adoption contract you will be signing specifically states that you agree to NEVER use any aversive methods nor tools like a shock, prong or choke collar. We are never sure about breed because we do not do DNA (we make our best guess), so if that is important to you, these puppies may not be the right choice for you. Please, consider everything when making a decision to adopt a puppy. As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip, and be spayed/neutered. You will receive 6 mths of HW preventative. You will receive a free bag of premium puppy food, as well as a gift card from Choice Pet Market. You will also receive a free complimentary physical exam with a vet. Training is MANDATORY and will be scheduled at a later date and place. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Arizona
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
