On the sturdy side for a mini schnauzer, Lou is in the 20-pound range. He has an interesting and gorgeous coat sort of along the lines of a parti schnauzer with his marking. We can't wait for his fluff to grow back on his sweet face! Lou may or may not be a purebred schnauzer but he looks pretty close to us, and he's very much a lover. He also loves to play but will need a compatible play-mate -- again, he's more sturdy and should have a somewhat sturdy dog companion for his romping and playing. Good with children, but any kids in the home should be at least 8 years old. He'd love to have a yard with some grass for play time too. ... Schnauzer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, my name is Reese and I am a chihuahua mix. I am about 4 years old and well, I am kind of shy. I really, really want attention and affection, but for some reason, it takes me a while to trust enough to accept it. That being said, I am a super great guy and easy to love and care for! I am potty and crate trained, I don't get on the furniture unless I am invited, I don't chew up anything but bones and I get along with other animals (as you can see from my portfolio). I am looking for a quiet home (no small kids, please) with a patient mom and/or dad that will let me go at my own pace. Once I trust you, I will come alive and act like ... I just know there is a furever family out there that's perfect for me! Could it be you?? (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Arizona
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
