*IF YOU CAN READ THIS, I AM STILL AVAILABLE. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A CHANCE AT ME, PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BY GOING TO AZRAIN.ORG AND CLICKING ON THE ADOPT TAB, THEN THE DOG INTEREST FORM. THERE IS NO WAY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ME WITHOUT COMPLETING ONE. R.A.I.N RESCUE DOES NOT BRING ANY OF THEIR DOGS OR PUPPIES TO ANY EVENTS. IF YOU ARE CHOSEN TO SEE ME, YOU WILL GET A CALL. SOMETIMES IT TAKES A BIT TO FIND OUR FOREVER HOMES AS WE HAVE TO BE SPAY or NEUTERED 1ST, CURRENT ON SHOTS AND MICRO-CHIPPED'|.AND THE DOG DIRECTOR IS VERY PICKY! ITS ALL ABOUT 'US'! Just when you think you have seen all the cuteness in a puppy...check out ... (Read More)Chrome...Just sayin', he is ultra cute! Vets estimated this little boy to be 12 weeks old, and a Brussels Griffon mixed with mini schnauzer. Of course he could have 10 thousand breeds in him, but he holds true to the look, and we know that mama is a Brussels Griffon named Sterling (also needing a home). Chrome is full of puppy 'vinegar' and loves to play and play. He does fine with all the dogs in the fosters home, and is starting to annoy Mama more as she is tired..lol. He is potty trained and goes outside when he is let out regularly. He is in a pen during the day when the Foster is at work, and never pees or poops in the pen. This little guy has ears like antennas and enjoys running 90 miles a minute around the backyard of the Fosters home. (So a nice back yard would be a plus). He weighs a whopping 6.3 lbs. He is neutered, Immunization shots have been started, Micro-chipped and has a rabies shot too. His adoption fee is set at $250.00. IF Interested in Chrome, Go to the ADOPT tab, and click on Dog Interest Form on our website at www.azrain.org. THANKS FOR WANTING TO RESCUE YOUR NEXT FAMILY MEMBER!! Do you see me? If so, my forever home has NOT been chosen yet. The only way to have a chance at me is to get your application in at www.azrain.org Please don't call to ask if this dog/puppy is still available. We remove them with in 24 hours of adoption, besides, you know you will find another one and your application will be good for 90 days for any of our dogs/puppies at R.A.I.N. Rescue! The 1st step to adopting any of our dogs is to fill out an application by going to our website. www.azrain.org. Click on forms tab, then DOG INTEREST FORM. Your application stays on file with us for 90 days, in the event you are not chosen to adopt the dog you filled out the application for. Please don't email us, if you haven't filled out an application 1st. We do not bring our small dogs to adoption events, because #1) they are normally scared to death and very nervous, not knowing what's going on with the many people coming up to the pens and hovering over them. Many shiver and shake with the unknown. #2) People adopt on impulse when they see a particularly "cute" dog/puppy. When they are adopted on impulse, reality sets in with in the 1st month of adopting it...Oh, this puppy ate the leg off my chair, I can't have that!.., or ...You said this dog was house trained and it pees all over... and then in many cases they are returned to rescue. #3) When people have to fill out a form 1st, and read all the questions about the care of a dog/puppy, they see that there are many aspects to adopting a family member, that they may not of thought of. They also realize that it is a life time commitment. The application Is done prior to adopting, so the family understands the seriousness and responsibilities of ownership. We have applications available at 2840 W Chandler Blvd. (At Petsmart, in the Lowes shopping center). It is located at the 101 and chandler blvd. OR, you can go to our website and get one, then email back to us at info@azrain.org OR, hand deliver it to us on Saturdays at our Donation Table we have set up, right of the front door of Petsmart. Volunteers run the table every Saturday from 10am-2pm. They will make sure it gets to the correct Dept. Many Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are a 501c3 non profit Rescue. R.A.I.N. Rescue (Rescuing Animals in Need). ** ALL OF OUR PETS ARE: micro-chipped, (cats are feline Leukemia tested), up to date on immunization shots, spayed/neutered and dogs are current on Rabies shot.. The dogs/puppies are taken off the website with in 48 hrs of being adopted, SO if you see one that interests you, plz fill out an application. IN THE EVENT you do not get the dog or cat that you are applying for, your application will stay on file for 3 months. If you find another pet with RAIN Rescue that you are interested in, (within the 3 month period), just call or email us and tell us the name of the pet and that you have previously filled out a INTEREST form, and which one you are currently interested in. We will pull your application for the specific dog. ** Just a reminder: we are all volunteers...we all have jobs outside from our volunteer job at the Rescue. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Arizona
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.

The name Schnauzer is derived from the German word for snout; these dogs are named for their distinctive beards. Schnauzers have been used to guard children and have been called Kinder Watchers. Schnauzers were used as messenger dogs in World War I.
