Rescue Me ID: 14-11-14-00537Rufus!!! (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Come meet Rufus and his friends on Saturday at the Lake Pleasant Petsmart-- 25372 N Lake Pleasant Peoria, Arizona 85383 from 10-3. If not adopted he will be at Sundays adoption event at Trendy Pet and Rescue from 12-4. Rufus was born in the shelter on July 27th to a 6lb poodle mix mom. Dad split after the first date so we have no idea who he is or of his whereabouts. At 6months Rufus is 7lbs so we estimate him to be about 10 lbs full grown. We have NO idea who his Dad is--probably a different Dad than the other puppies, but many say he resembles a Schnauzer, even though he is much smaller. He has a kind of scruffy coat, long legs, so ... (Read More)he looks like some type of terrier mix. He LOVES to play, and can be a bit rough and dominant when meeting new dogs, so dogs his size or larger would be best. Rufus is a HAPPY boy, with much more energy than his siblings. We have a feeling he is going to be an active little adult dog! Although he is a puppy, Rufus LOVES to be held and snuggle. Rufus is neutered, had 3 puppy vaccines, and is microchipped. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Schnauzer in Arizona
Schnauzer Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Schnauzer is a thickly bearded, medium sized, Terrier type dog. Schnauzers are proud, vivacious animals. Schnauzers are protective toward their people and want to be the boss. It is important to thoroughly socialize and train a Schnauzer when it is a puppy. Schnauzers do fine with older kids. A Schnauzer needs lots and lots of exercise and a daily walk but can live in an apartment if its exercise needs are met.
