Rescue Me ID: 17-05-28-00281Marley (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

If you haven't seen cute in awhile, sit back and enjoy this lil guy named Marley. He weighs 20 lbs and is Cairn Terrier with Schnauzer mix. Ultra cute! He is 1- 1/2 years old and was saved from the pound from a lady that saves dogs from there as often as she can. Now it is time for her to part with him so she surrendered him to RAIN Rescue,. This way she can go save more lives! (AWESOME LADY!) Marley is a Lucky boy and whoever gets him will also be lucky. He is house trained, neutered, UTD on shots and micro-chipped. He isn't a picky eater,(Infact he loves chewing on things, so bully sticks are great for him!), He loves playing in the ... (Read More)yard, knows the command "sit" and loves a good car ride. Marley enjoys being around people, dogs and cats in the family and actually loves everyone. He's just a great lil guy, who has actually played with a goat! There is never a time that he doesn't enjoy being around the kids in the home. He has the special qualities of "Being extra friendly to everyone he meets". When we asked how they would describe Marley, we were told " friendly to friends and family, very active, playful, fearless, affectionate and a lap dog". If you will give him belly rubs or snuggle with him he will love you to pieces! You can approach Marley while he is eating and he will pay no attention to you. He will allow you to take things out of his mouth and has never bit any one. Just look at THAT face!!!! Ready to snuggle?? Marleys adoption fee is set at $240.00 *IF YOU CAN READ THIS, I AM STILL AVAILABLE. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A CHANCE AT ME, PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BY GOING TO AZRAIN.ORG AND CLICKING ON THE ADOPT TAB, THEN THE DOG INTEREST FORM. THERE IS NO WAY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ME WITHOUT COMPLETING ONE. IN THE EVENT you do not get the dog or cat that you are applying for, your application will stay on file for 3 months. If you find another pet with RAIN Rescue that you are interested in, (within the 3 month period), just call or email us and tell us the name of the pet and that you have previously filled out a INTEREST form, and which one you are currently interested in. We will pull your application for the specific dog. R.A.I.N RESCUE DOES NOT BRING ANY OF THEIR DOGS OR PUPPIES TO ANY EVENTS. IF YOU ARE CHOSEN TO SEE ME, YOU WILL GET A CALL. SOMETIMES IT TAKES A BIT TO FIND OUR FOREVER HOMES AS WE HAVE TO BE SPAY or NEUTERED 1ST, CURRENT ON SHOTS AND MICRO-CHIPPED'|.AND THE DOG DIRECTOR IS VERY PICKY! ITS ALL ABOUT 'US'! Please don't call to ask if this dog/puppy is still available. We remove them with in 24 hours of adoption, besides, you know you will find another one and your application will be good for 90 days for any of our dogs/puppies at R.A.I.N. Rescue! The 1st step to adopting any of our dogs is to fill out an application by going to our website. www.azrain.org. Click on forms tab, then DOG INTEREST FORM. We do not bring our small dogs to adoption events, because #1) they are normally scared to death and very nervous, not knowing what's going on with the many people coming up to the pens and hovering over them. Many shiver and shake with the unknown. #2) People adopt on impulse when they see a particularly 'cute' dog/puppy. When they are adopted on impulse, reality sets in with in the 1st month of adopting it'|Oh, this puppy ate the leg off my chair, I can't have that!.., or '|You said this dog was house trained and it pees all over'| and then in many cases they are returned to rescue. #3) When people have to fill out a form 1st, and read all the questions about the care of a dog/puppy, they see that there are many aspects to adopting a family member, that they may not of thought of. They also realize that it is a life time commitment. The application Is done prior to adopting, so the family understands the seriousness and responsibilities of ownership. We have applications available at 2840 W Chandler Blvd. (At Petsmart, in the Lowes shopping center). It is located at the 101 and chandler blvd. OR, you can go to our website and get one, then email back to us at info@azrain.org OR, hand deliver it to us on Saturdays at our Donation Table we have set up, right of the front door of Petsmart. Volunteers run the table every Saturday from 10am-2pm. They will make sure it gets to the correct Dept. Many Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are a 501c3 non profit Rescue. R.A.I.N. Rescue (Rescuing Animals in Need). ** ALL OF OUR PETS ARE: micro-chipped, (cats are feline Leukemia tested), up to date on immunization shots, spayed/neutered and dogs are current on Rabies shot.. ** Just a reminder: we are all volunteers'|we all have jobs outside from our volunteer job at the Rescue. We are sorry that we will not make a special time and place to meet you without a consultation application done up. We are able to weed through many applications with out taking too much time. Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00339WOODSTOCK (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Three-year-old Woodstock has been with Home Fur Good since January. He is a Muppet of a dog--an interesting-looking character with his underbite, flowing ear hair, and go-their-own-way eyebrows. Woodstock is also an entertainer; whether he is intentionally putting on a show or just trying to amuse himself, he will make you smile with his dainty little prance and mind-of-its-own curly tail. He is a 16-pound Schnauzer mix who loves to be a part of the pack. Woodstock is a member of the Small Dog Playgroup. Over the few months he has been a member, he has always been open to new dogs entering the group. He is happy to play chase, go for ... (Read More)walks, or just hang out. Since arriving at HFG, Woodstock has learned what a leash is. It will still make him a little jumpy to be leashed up or picked up too quickly, but he is just trying to avoid trouble; he is not going to be aggressive at all. Once he is in your arms he will calm down and snuggle in. Give him a kiss on the head and then he will want to be off to play. Woodstock will be happy to become a member of your pack; he merely asks for a little patience and some yummy treats, and he will become your biggest fan. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information. (Less)

SAY HELLO TO SIR WILL! Will is a bright and bubbly 4 year old white Scottie/Schnauzer mix boy who weighs 28 pounds. Will got his name because he was seen being dumped out of a vehicle in a Goodwill parking lot. Scared and confused as to why his owners would leave him behind, he chased after the van as it was clearly his owners. Thankfully, a concerned citizen picked him up and brought him to us. We searched for his owners in case he was stolen but to no avail. Will doesn't like cats but seems to like just about everything and everyone else. He's always happy and wagging his tail, eager to please and deserves a forever family ... (Read More)that will never abandon him again. Will will do best in a home with adults as he seems to find children as competition for attention. Will has a typical terrier coat and will require occasional grooming. Will's adoption fee is 250.00 which includes his neuter, vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, deworming, microchip and professional grooming. (Less)
